Rezumatul activitatilor mTARGESON 2023

The project mTARGESON proposes new exploratory directions and involves multidisciplinary knowledge in theranostics, based on current challenges and opportunities in oncology using nanoparticles for tumor targeting. Project strategy focuses on innovative solutions: building new and improved carriers (liposome and lipid nanospheres linked to microbubbles) of anticancer agents (Doxorubicin and triterpenoids), targeting tumors by ultrasonography. Such complexes will be tested in vitro as tumor inhibitors and immunostimulants using liver and blood cell lines as well as in vivo on immunocompetent animals. Seven objectives are organized in 4 work packages and will be implemented for 32 months. The expertise and experience of the team members in different areas are complementary and very useful for the integrated approach: expertise in selecting anticarcinogens to be inserted in liposomes and lipid nanospheres, in vitro uptake/effects of complexes, use of ultrasonography to deliver these complexes to Walker tumors.

We offer advanced infrastructure and a previous portfolio of international/ national projects, and outstanding researchers with international prestige. The result indicators include reports,  publications in ISI-Q1-Q2 journals, participation in international conferences, and training of PhD students.
